We believe that children in our care will become the future leaders of the community. It is imperative for society to raise a generation of children that will make a mark that cannot be erased. We are a school and child care facility that promotes harmony. We are committed to training children to love themselves and others, to be peaceful, patient, tolerant of others, joyful, kind, gentle, faithful and to have self control. We believe that children are a gift from God and that every child is special. We also believe that children are a product of their environment. Given the opportunity of freedom and exploration they will develop into creative independent leaders.

Loving Arms Montessori will develop your child's understanding of the world. We offer a Montessori preschool curriculum for Primary ages (3-6) and a pre- curriculum for Primary ages (1-3). Our students learn at each stage of development to help them reach their full potential in life. The Montessori environment is a child size world. By careful selection of educational materials, furniture, and environment that is set up. That allows the child a place to explore life on a level she/he can understand. The materials are designed to stimulate exploration. The prepared environment is designed to entice the child to process at his/her own pace from simple activities to more complex ones. Through this process we seek to address the child's natural curiosity so she/he can experience joy in discovering the world.
The Montessori Method of education is characterized by an environment designed to stimulate the child's interest and facilitate their understanding and learning through interaction with the environment. In most preschools and schools children are taught in a group by teachers. In a Montessori environment children are led to learn concepts as they work with the many materials in the environment.
WHO CREATED THE MONTESSORI METHOD?
Born in 1870, Maria Montessori was the first woman to practice Medicine in Italy. She graduated from Medical School at the University of Rome in 1896. As a physician, Dr. Montessori was in touch with young children and became profoundly interested in the development. Through careful and exhaustive scrutiny, she realized that children construct their own personalities as they interact with their environment. She also observed the manner in which they learn as they spontaneously chose and worked auto didactic with materials she provided. Based on her observations Montessori developed unique materials, and a child centered environment. She was the first person to revolutionized educational thought and practice by stressing respect for the child's freedom of expression, self education and training through the use of movements and the senses. Her approach to education stemmed from a solid grounding in biology, psychiatry, and anthropology. She studied children of all races and cultures in many countries around the world.
